Shooting simulators have been around for many years, but as technology progresses, they are becoming increasingly important tools to complement live training.
This project answers the research question of how a shooting simulator that is viable for police training and accepted by users can be developed using commercial and publicly available software and components. By developing a software artifact coupled with a 3D-printed controller adapter for Meta Quest 3, we designed and run an exploratory study with the collaboration of the Department of Police Work at MAU.
